PSU LOSES IN OT

The PSUA Lions lost a heartbreaker to Albany University 4-3 in overtime at the regional tournament. Period for period was probably the worst the Lions had played all season long. Sloppy play and undisciplined penalties would catch up with the Lions and result in a challenge they could not overcome. Patrick Kinch had two goals for the Lions and Senior Captain Bryan Koronowski scored the game tying goal with 4:20 left in the 3rd period to foce overtime. PSUA would find themselves on the power play at the start of overtime. However, the hockey gods have a twisted sense of humor. Koronowski had a wide open net and rang the puck of the post. Seconds later, Koronowski drew the entire defense and goalie towards him, passed to Patrick Kinch who would also hit the post on a wide empty net. Minutes later the Great Danes would end the Lions dreams for Nationals.
