CALVIN BLANKS LIONS 6-0

THE PSUA LIONS CONCLUDED THEIR THREE GAME WEEKEND IN MICHIGAN WITH A LOSS TO THE CALVIN GOLDEN KNIGHTS 6-0 .  THE LIONS LOOKED TIRED RIGHT FROM WARMUPS AND SHOWED A LACKLUSTER EFFORT TO CLOSE OUT THE SCHUPAN PERFORMANCE.  PSUA FAILED TO CONVERT ON ANY OF ITS FIVE POWERPLAYS AND  EVEN GAVE UP A SHORTHANDED TALLY.  LIKE THE HOPE GAME THE LIONS WERE DOMINATED IN THE THIRD PERIOD BEING OUTSHOT 18-2.  THE SCHUPAN TOURNAMENT IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR THE LIONS TO PLAY TEAMS OUTSIDE OF THEIR CONFERENCE.  ALTHOUGH THE RESULTS DID NOT SHOW IN THE WIN / LOSS COLUMN, THE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE THAT THE BOYS WILL TAKE FROM THIS WEEKEND WILL PROVIDE AN INVALUABLE FOUNDATION FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON.  PENN STATE ALTOONA HEADS TO FREDONIA AND PSU BEHREND THIS COMING WEEKEND FOR THE START OF COLLEGE HOCKEY EAST PLAY.
