PSUA REBOUNDED FRIDAY NIGHT WITH AN EXPLOSIVE 7-1 WIN AGAINST NORTHWOOD UNIVERSITY.  THE LIONS WOULD FINISH THE NIGHT 4 FOR 6 ON THE POWERPLAY AND 2 FOR 2 ON THE PENALTY KILL, ONE OF WHICH WAS A 5 MINUTE MAJOR.  CONLAN SODROSKY WOULD LEAD THE LIONS WITH 1 GOAL AND 4 ASSISTS.  FRESHMAN DEFENSEMAN BRIAN KRUSER WOULD ADD A POWER PLAY GOAL AND 2 ASSISTS.  FRESHMAN DEFENSMAN KYLE LEES WOULD ALSO CONTRIBUTE A POWER PLAY GOAL AND ASSIST.  FRESHMAN JEFF NELSON WOULD ALSO ADD A POWER PLAY GOAL AND AN ASSIST.  FRESHMAN BEN KINCH WOULD ALSO ADD A POWER PLAY GOAL IN THE THIRD PERIOD.  FRESHMAN DUSTIN SHAFFER WOULD CONCLUDE THE LIONS SCORING IN THE THIRD PERIOD.  FRESHMAN MATT TORELLO, JAMES DIBERARDINIS AND SOPHOMORE SHANE WINTERS WOULD ALSO ADD AN ASSIST.  FRESHMAN ZACH SHERIKO WOULD BACK STOP THE LIONS WIN STOPPING 30 OF 31 SHOTS.   COACH  LANTZ COMMENTED ON HIS YOUNG TEAMS PERFORMANCE.  "WE STARTED A LITTLE SLOW TONIGHT, BUT ONCE WE GOT OUR LEGS MOVING MOMENTUM WAS DEFINATELY ON OUR SIDE.  SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYED A HUGE ROLE IN TONIGHTS GAME.  THE KEY TURNING POINT WAS A FIVE MINUTE PENALTY KILL AT THE BEGINING OF THE THIRD PERIOD.  THE BOYS DUG DOWN DEEP, KILLED OFF THE PENALTY AND THEN RESPONED WITH TWO POWER PLAY GOALS OF THEIR OWN."  THIS WAS A GREAT CONFIDENCE BOOSTER FOR THE TEAM AS THEY HEAD INTO A VERY TOUGH CHALLENGE AGAINST CALVIN COLLEGE ON SATURDAY.  THIS BRINGS PENN STATE ALTOONA'S RECORD TO 2-1 ON THE SEASON.
