IN A BATTLE OF SOUTH DIVISION RIVALS, THE PSUA LIONS WOULD FALL VICTIM TO ANOTHER SLUGGISH SECOND AND THIRD PERIOD AS THE BEARCATS SKATED THEIR WAY TO VICTORY 8-3. THE LIONS WOULD STRIKE QUICKLY ON A GOAL BY NATE DOLAN (ASSISTED BY ELI BOOGE AND JASON DIEHL). DIEHL WOULD ADD ANOTHER GOAL ASSISTED BY CHRIS STRIEBIG AND THE LIONS WOULD END THE FIRST PERIOD UP 2-1. A BEARCATS SHORTHANDED TALLY FROM THE BLUELINE WOULD KNOCK THE WIND OUT OF THE LIONS SAILS AND THEY COULD NOT REBOUND. SAINT VINCENT WOULD SCORE FIVE STRAIGHT GOALS, BEFORE TREVOR FISK (ASSISTED BY MATT KELLEY) WOULD LIGHT THE LAMP. THE LIONS UNDISCIPLED PLAY WOULD FORFEIT THREE POWER PLAY GOALS. ON A POSITIVE NOTE THE LIONS WERE ABLE TO MUSTER FORTY THREE SHOTS A SEASON HIGH, BUT WERE UNABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY SOLVE GOALTENDER ANDREW HARVEY. THE LIONS GET A REMATCH AGAINST SAINT VINCENT NEXT SUNDAY AT DELMONT.
