KANDETZKE PROPELS LIONS TO WIN OVER PSU BEHREND

FRESHMAN GOALTENDER KEVIN KANDETZKE WOULD BACKSTOP THE LIONS TO A MUCH NEEDED 6-5 VICTORY STOPPING 27 OF 32 SHOTS.  KEVIN WOULD MAKE SOME KEY SAVES IN BACKSTOPPING THE LIONS TO THEIR SECOND WIN OF THE SEASON.  THE LIONS WOULD TAKE ADVANTAGE OF BEHREND'S UNDISCIPLINED PLAY AND SCORE FIVE POWER PLAY GOALS AND ONE SHORTHANDED TALLY.    THE LIONS WOULD DOMINATE FIRST PERIOD PLAY WITH GOALS BY SHEA WALDRON (SHORTHANDED)  AND JR GEARHART (POWERPLAY).  PSUA WOULD START THE SECOND PERIOD VERY SLUGGISH AND TRAIL BEHREND 4-3.  COACH LANTZ WOULD ASK FOR SOMEONE TO STEP UP AND BE A LEADER ON A TEAM THAT WAS DESPERATELY IN SEARCH OF A WIN.  THAT INDIVIDUAL WOULD BE SOPHOMORE TREVOR FISK.  FISK WOULD TIE THE GAME AT FOUR THIRTY-TWO SECONDS INTO THE THIRD PERIOD.  HE WOULD THEN PROCEED TO CENTER ICE AND DO HIS BEST TERELLE OWENS IMPERSONATION THAT WOULD INCITE THE BEHREND TEAM.  ON THE NEXT SHIFT, TWO BEHREND PLAYERS WOULD TAKE  OFFENSE TO FISK'S CELEBRATION AND COMMIT PENALTIES.  THE LIONS WOULD TAKE ADVANTAGE AS JR GEARHART WOULD SCORE HIS SECOND POWER PLAY GOAL OF THE NIGHT AND FRESHMAN NATE DOLAN (POWER PLAY GOAL AND AN ASSIST) WOULD SCORE THE EVENTUAL GAME WINNER.  FISK WOULD END THE NIGHT WITH A GOAL AND TWO ASSISTS.  "RIGHT NOW TREV IS PLAYING HIS BEST HOCKEY IN TWO YEARS AND HAS REALLY STEPPED UP TO THE CHALLENGE ABOUT BEING A LEADER ON THIS TEAM"  COACH LANTZ STATED.  FRESHMAN CHRIS STRIEBIG WOULD ALSO TALLY FOR PSUA.  ADDING ASSISTS FOR THE LIONS,  FRESHMAN CHRIS STERNBERGER (2 ASSISTS), SHANE WINTERS (1 ASSIST), JASON DIEHL (1 ASSIST),  PETER REVEILLE (1 ASSIST).
