PSUA BATTLES WITH THE BULLETS

Wednesday, November 1, 2023

The Lions took to the ice for the first time since covid, against the Gettysburg Bullets. A depleted Gettysburg squad gave PSU all it could handle. Erik Jones (1st) would strike first for PSU in the first period. Christian Strang (D'Aguanno, Duey)would tally his first goal of the season early in the second period. Jaeger Witte would net the eventual game winner at the ten minute mark of the second period assisted by Strang and Lempe. Gettysburg would strike at 5:40 of the second period making it 3-1. Gettysburg would pull within one goal in the 3rd period. Christian Strang (D'Aguanno would give the Lions insurance netting his second goal of game. Roan McCormick would turn away 16 shots in his first victory of the season. Coach Lantz had this to say about the teams first win of the season. It was good to see the boys back on the ice. This has been a long three years and these boys have worked really hard to reestablish this storied program. There was some definite nerves evident, but good teams find away to adapt and overcome. Strang would net MVP for the game. Next up for PSU a home contest against Shippensburg.
