On Monday November 2, the PSU Altoona Hockey team held their annual THON Skate, as part of hockey fights against pediatric cancer.  The event would take place at Galactic Ice from 10 pm until 1 am.  Over 150 students would come out to support the skate, as the Lions would raise over $1000 for the cause.  "This is a great event for our players to get involved with, and it's great to see the PSU Altoona student body get behind us and support such a worthy event."  The team would like to thank Galactic Ice for donating the ice.  We would also like to thank Jacob Ullom, a former PSUA player, who traveled from State College to provide the music entertainment for the night.  The team hopes to run a second THON skate in the spring.
