PSU HEADED TO REGIONALS!!!

For the first time since the 2010-11 season, the Nittany Lions are headed back to the Atlantic Regional Tournament as the number 9 seed, with an opportunity to move on to the National Torunament in Florida.  The Lions will meet up with an all to famliar foe in the number 4 seeded UPJ Icecats this Friday, February 21st at 8:15 PM at the York Ice Arena in York, PA.  During the regular season, the two teams split the season series, winning on each others ice.  The love loss between these two teams spills not only on the ice, but into the stands as well, as fans have on occassion, taken matters to far.  Coach Lantz said this about his team.  "I am very proud of our boys,  Coming into the second semester we were ranked outside of the top 10 in rankings and knew we had to make an impact.  We circled a lot of dates on the schedule that were must win games and can't lose games.  The boys responded and we continued moving up the rankings.  Although disappointed we were not ranked higher, we are appreciative of the opportunity to participate in this tournament, and now the team needs to make the most of that opportunity.  For some of the sophomores, this is their last opportunity at the competitve college hockey level.  At this point in the season, you have to treat every game and every shift as though it could be your last."  This is a single game elimination tournament.  If you lose you go home,  Win and you play Saturday afternoon.  You need to win two games to advance onto the National Tournament.  IT'S TIME TO GET FOCUSED!!!  IT'S TIME TO LEAVE EVERYTHING ON THE ICE!!!  IT'S TIME TO GO!!!
